Gut Restart is used to improve the digestive function of the gut through detoxification. Toxins in the gut can be caused by undigested food that remains in the gut, rotting and fermenting.
The digestive process becomes slower and such food remains in the gut for longer periods of time. In Ayurveda this principle is known as AAM DOSH.
The toxins that result from this process interfere with the absorption of nutrients from food and change the gut bacteria to those that favour acidic conditions.
Toxins can also pass through the gut into the bloodstream and lymphatic system, preventing them from working properly.

Specific References
Gut Restart can be fed 15g twice per day for 3 days and 10g twice per day thereafter.
It is recommended to given in a daily ration or in a mash.
